So… It’s been about a week now since I had my misfortunate accident and completely deleted all of my blogging content from the past 3 years. To be honest, at first, I was extremely frustrated with myself, which is something I guess would be expected. I was upset and disappointed at myself for doing such a thing. Now, however, I’ve come to terms with it and have decided that this will be a great time to start fresh.
Ever since I left college, I’ve been struggling with my blog. Back in school, it was easy for me to juggle blogging with the rest of my life. After entering the workforce, it was a struggle. Adulting is HARD. I continuously dropped the ball, and I could never quite get consistent. I think part of the frustration was that I never felt like I could keep up with my previous self that blogged all the time. Goodness, I could barely find time to read, as was evident by my fail at my 2016 Goodreads Challenge. Now that all fo the content is gone, it gives me an opportunity to start fresh and go in a new direction, making my blog fit my current lifestyle and not my college-self.
Hopefully, this means I’ll be inspired to blog more consistently and not feel so pressured, but still have time for my other passions. & I hope you will all join me for the ride. 🙂
In other news, it was my birthday this past week! I didn’t do anything special, but I totally think everyone should have their birthday off. I definitely would have loved to just read and eat cake all day. Alas, I had to work. I did get to have dinner with a friend and celebrate with family. So it wasn’t a complete loss.
Currently, I’m still reading Extreme Makeover by Dan Wells. I also plan to start reading The Hidden Memory of Objects by Danielle Mages Amato this very rainy Saturday. What are you currently reading? Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Happy Reading!
