Well, we’re a week into May now, and I’m just now doing my monthly update post. Whoops. Better late than never right? My reading has been fairly slow over the last month or so. I’m not quite sure why I’m in a slump, but I just couldn’t get into books that I know I love. Instead, my time has been spent getting into journaling a lot. I also started a transcription project where I’m transcribing the first chapter of some of my favorite books. I’m having a lot of fun with it! Plus it’s an excuse to use fountain pens and a variety of inks. Lol.

I’m really hoping to get back into reading this month. I recently finished Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valor by Ally Carter, and I’m currently enjoying A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson.
Most Anticipated May Releases
Okay. I’m just gonna say it. I honestly don’t know what’s releasing this month. I have two books on my list, but I’m sure there should be more… I mean it’s almost summer, which is the prime beach read season. So if anyone has recommendations for me, please let me know. But the books I am excited about are:
1. Incognito by Katie Delahanty (5/3) – This is the sequel to Keystone, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I just find the world Kaite Delahanty created to be so interesting and also scary. I do not want to live in a world where everything is based upon my social media status. I can’t imagine what that’d do to someone’s mental health.
2. 10 Truths and a Dare by Ashley Elston (5/3) – I don’t know much about 10 Truths and a Dare, but I do know that Ashley Elston generally writes books that I thoroughly enjoy. So I’m putting it on the list!
