Addison Murphy is the funny friend, the girl you grab a beer with—the girl voted most likely to start her own sweatshirt line. And now that one of her best guy friends is getting married, she’ll add “groomsman” to that list, too. She’ll get through this wedding if it’s the last thing she does. Just don’t ask her to dive for any bouquet.

When Tucker Crawford returns to his small hometown, he expects to see the same old people, feel comfort in the same old things. He certainly doesn’t expect to see the nice pair of bare legs sticking out from under the hood of a broken-down car. Certainly doesn’t expect to feel his heart beat faster when he realizes they belong to one of his best friends.

If he convinces Addie to give him a chance, they could be electric…or their break-up could split their tight-knit group in two.

Hiding the way he feels from the guys through bachelor parties, cake tastings, and rehearsals is one thing. But just as Tucker realizes that Addie truly could be the perfect woman for him—he was just too stupid to realize it—now she’s leaving to follow her own dreams. He’s going to need to do a lot of compromising if he’s going to convince her to take a shot at forever with him—on her terms this time.

Note: I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review in any way. All opinions shared are my own.

I’ve always wanted to pick up a Cindi Madsen book, and I’m kicking myself for not reading any until now. Just One of the Groomsmen was such a fun friends-to-lovers romance. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this series. I also will definitely be checking out her other books.

If you’re looking for a fun romantic comedy, Just One of the Groomsmen by Cindi Madsen will be perfect. It’s a story about two best friends navigating a potential romantic relationship, their best friend’s wedding, a move back home, and a job hunt all in a small town where neighbors always seem to be in everyone’s business. I did think the plot started a bit slow, but it ended up being a fun, light-hearted romance. It had the quirkiness of small-town living and the drama of having a best friend of the opposite sex. It definitely had its laugh-out-loud moments.

What I loved most about Just One of the Groomsmen were the characters. Addie and Tucker were endearing. I loved them right away both as best friends and as a couple. However, their entire group of friends truly made it fun. The other guys definitely added drama to the debate of should they or should they not cross that line from friends to something more. The potential romantic relationship between Addie and Tucker definitely endangered their group dynamic.

I can’t wait to see where Cindi Madsen goes next with this series. I’d love to see a cameo by Addie and Tucker. I’d also love to hear more about the rest of the guys. If you’re looking for a light beach read this summer, I highly recommend Just One of the Groomsmen by Cindi Madsen.

I can understand that. It definitely took me a while to get hooked into the main storyline. I’m glad I stuck with it though. I’m glad you’re no longer in a book slump.
