It’s May. We’re almost half-way through 2020.

How’s everyone holding up? Can you believe we’re almost half-way through 2020? I can’t, but I’m also glad. 2020 hasn’t been going the way I hoped it would.

I don’t know where you are in the world, but where I live, they’ve started the gradual reopening of the state. I think everyone is on edge about reopening tourism. Our economy greatly depends on tourism, but it’s also how the virus spreads best. It’ll be interesting to see how that issue gets tackled. What I do know is that I now have a plethora of fabric face masks. I’m guessing that’ll be part of the new normal.

Most Anticipated May Releases

Are any of you having a hard time keeping up with changes in release dates? I know I am. Thank goodness for Goodreads! Here are my most anticipated May book releases.

1. Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (5/5) – If you read YA sci-fi, you’ve probably heard about the Aurora Cycle series. Aurora Burning is the follow up to Aurora Rising, and knowing Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, it’ll be quite the rollercoaster of emotions. If you want to know more about the series, you can find my review of Aurora Rising here. I’m very interested in knowing how the story proceeds after the shocking ending of Aurora Rising.

2. Four Days of You and Me by Miranda Kenneally (5/5) – Miranda Kennally is well known for her YA contemporary romances. Four Days of You and Me has an interesting synopsis. A story about one couple and their developing relationship during four field trips over four years. I’m very intrigued by how the author wrote this story.

3. Dream Maker by Kristen Ashely (5/26) – Kristen Ashely is hands down one of my go-to authors for adult contemporary romances. I haven’t read all of her books, but I’ve reread all the ones I own many times. I’m really excited about this new series of hers. It sounds like it’ll take place in the same world as her Rock Chick and Dream Man series.

What book releases are you most excited about this month? Let me know in the comments or on social media! 🙂

I haven’t heard much about By the Book by Amanda Sellet, but reading the synopsis, it does sound like a fun read! I’ll have to check it out.
