Summer is definitely here! It’s absoultely hot in Hawaii, and it seems like the weather is pretty crazy all across the norhtern hemisphere.
July ended on a crazy note for me. I went on a work trip and had one of my worst experiences with filght situations yet. I haven’t read much since leaving for my work trip. However, I’m hoping to finish First Lord’s Fury sometime this week. I’m about halfway through!
My Most Anticipated Book Releases
This month there aren’t a whole lot of books I’m anticipating. However, there seem to be TONS of first books in new series releasing. I’m positive I’ll be venturing into those once I’m ready to start a new series.
One book, however, that I am interested in is City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab (releasing 8/28). I’ve been meaning to read a book by Victoria Schwab for a while now, and City of Ghosts sounds like an entertaining middle-grade read. It’s about a girl, her ability to see ghosts, and her best friend that is a ghost. It sounds like a cute read.
My Most Anticipated Movie Releases
Now, I’m very excited about two movies being released this month. The first movie is Christopher Robin (released on 8/3). I already watched this one this past Friday and LOVED IT! It was funny, cute, and absolutely heart-warming. I’d totally purchase this movie when it releases on Blu-ray and on digital.
The next movie I’m excited for is Crazy Rich Asians (releasing on 8/15) based upon the book of the same title by Kevin Kwan. I have not read Crazy Rich Asians (I should probably read it), but I’m very excited for this movie. It looks like a hilarious romantic-comedy, and it’s a fully Asian cast! I’m all for Asian representation in main-stream media.
