Hello September!

It’s September guys! How are you all doing? I’m just hopping on here really quick to share a couple of September book releases I’m excited for. I was hoping to share more, but this Labor Day holiday weekend turned out to be a bit more busy than anticipated. I actually should be headed to work soon…

Anyway, I hope to share an in-depth look at my book journal soon-ish. I’m almost done with the notebook I started back in January 2018. So I figured that’d be fun to share. Also, I’m finally back on track with my Goodreads goal for the year! August was a great month for reading. I finished the first trilogy of The School for Good and Evil series by Soman Chainani, and I finally finished the Embassy Row series by Ally Carter. Hopefully, I can get around to reviewing those soon.

Most Anticipated Book Releases

Now, let’s talk about book releases I’m anticipating this month. I’m only going to share two on this list, but I’m sure there are tons of great books coming out. I’m on a contemporary kick after reading so many fantasy books recently. So I just kind of glossed over all of the fantasy novels.

First up is Sadie by Courtney Summers (9/4). This is a mystery/thriller novel, where Sadie is trying to get justice for her sister’s death. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything by Courtney Summers, but I’ve heard great things about this book. So I’m excited to check it out!

Secondly, I’m pretty excited for Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman (9/11). Yes, it’s set in Hawaii. Things can be a bit iffy when they’re set here because sometimes they can be a bit stereotypical. However, the story sounds fantastic. It’s about a girl trying to overcome the death of her sister, a sister she imagined writing music with for the rest of her life. I think this will be an emotional read.

What books are you excited for that are releasing this month? What have you been reading? Feel free to tell me in the comments!
