Hello, May!

It’s yet again another month. April was an interesting month for me. Things slowed down considerably at work, and my reading game has been strong. Lol. I read many of my May anticipated releases, and I reread a ton of books. I’m crossing my fingers that May will be much of the same. I have a feeling that June may be a busy and tiring month for me.

May Releases Already Read

1. The Lovely and the Lost by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (5/7) – I already reviewed The Lovely and the Lost here on the blog, and basically, I loved it. Jennifer Lynn Barnes is definitely one of my go-to authors when I’m wanting a YA mystery. The Lovely and the Lost is filled with family secrets you’ll want to uncover.

2. Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (5/7) – Aurora Rising was quite possibly my most anticipated read for 2019. It’s also a very hyped book in the YA community. So I was both excited and terrified reading it. In the end, I absolutely LOVED Aurora Rising. Kaufman and Kristoff brought me to tears towards the end, and I can’t wait to hear news about the sequel. My full review will be up soon.

3. Ask Me Anything by Molly E. Lee (5/7) – Ask Me Anything surprised me. I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did. It’s definitely a discussion starter regarding sexual education for teens, but it’s also a sweet YA romance.

4. Just One of the Groomsmen by Cindi Madsen (5/28) – Just One of the Groomsmen was cute. I love friends to lovers romances, and Cindi Madsen did not disappoint with Just One of the Groomsmen. It was a feel-good romance and a perfect beach read. My full review will be up on the blog closer to its release date.

More May Anticipated Releases

1. Hope and Other Punchlines by Julie Buxbaum (5/7) – I really enjoyed Julie Buxbaum’s Tell Me Three Things, and I’ve been meaning to read more by her. Hope and Other Punchlines sounds like a touching YA romance. It features two characters greatly affected by 9/11. I’m positive it will be an emotional read.

2. Memento by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (5/7) – I absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on this Aurora Rising preorder incentive. Memento is supposed to be a prequel to Illuminae. I’m so ready to go back into that world and meet AIDAN before he became what he becomes.

3. Fake It Till You Break It by Jenn P. Nguyen (5/28) – Fake dating? Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’ll end as many stories do when two characters fake date, but Fake It Till You Make It just sounds like it’ll be so entertaining. I can’t wait for this fun rom-com to be released.
