Can you believe it’s July? We’re halfway through 2019. That’s crazy!
June was a bit of a rough month. I hardly blogged. I was also having a ton of issues with my plug-ins, which I think I’ve finally resolved. I didn’t read a whole lot either. I think I spent most of my free time watching YouTube videos. Lol. I’m hoping for a better July. I’m definitely planning on using the upcoming holiday as a day to relax and recharge.
Most Anticipated July Book Releases
I actually don’t have a whole lot of book releases I’m excited about this month. I think I’m a tad out of touch with the new book releases. If you know of any that I need to check out, please let me know. However, there are two YA contemporaries I’m excited about.
2. The Arrival of Someday by Jen Malone (7/23) – I really enjoyed Wanderlost by Jen Malone. So I’m more than ready to try another novel by her. The Arrival of Someday sounds like it’ll be very emotional and heartfelt. It’s about a college-bound teenage girl that suddenly finds herself needing an organ transplant. I have very high hopes for this one.
Most Anticipated July Movie Releases
Now, I’m really excited about this summer’s movie season. Ever since Avengers: Endgame, I feel like there have been solid hits every month. Specifically for July, I’m excited about two movies.
1. Spider-Man: Far From Home (7/2) – Spider-Man: Far From Home is supposed to pick up right after Avengers: Endgame. I’m very excited to see where Marvel will take the MCU. Now, with that being said, if you haven’t watched Avengers: Endgame, you may want to watch that first before Spider-Man: Far From Home. Admittedly, I have not watched all of the Marvel movies, but I’m mostly just a Captian America and Spider-Man fan. It’s my personal preference. You all can have Chris Hemsworth/Thor. By the way, I do think that Tom Holland is the best portrayal of Spider-Man thus far.
2. The Lion King (7/19) – I think The Lion King is the third remake Disney is releasing this year, and it’s quite possibly the one I’m most looking forward to. I loved The Lion King as a kid, and I have high hopes that this one will be just as good.
