Hello, April!

So… I don’t know about you, but April kind of just snuck up on me. March was a pretty rough month. I got back from vacation at the end of February and was just hit by a train with work and stuff. Work has been extremely busy, and I was sick for a bit last month. Things have finally started to slow down. I’m hoping to read more this April. I do have some AMAZING eARCs waiting to be read on my Kindle after all. So I’m quite excited to get some reading in.

Books Reviewed Releasing in April

Just to recap, I reviewed Smoke and Key by Kelsey Sutton last month. I thought it was a fantastic read. Smoke and Key was filled with mystery and wonderful characters. It’s available now, and I hope you guys check it out!

My Most Anticipated April Releases

Let’s get into some of my most anticipated April releases that I have not read or own yet.

1. The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston (4/2) – I absolutely LOVED Geekerella, and The Princess and the Fangirl is a companion novel, I believe. I’m quite excited to delve back into the world revolving around Starfield filled with fandoms and Cons.

2. White Rose by Kip Wilson (4/2) – I really would love to diversify the genres I read, and something I hardly read is historical fiction. White Rose sounds like a fantastic WWII historical novel. It follows Sophie and the White Rose, a non-violent resistance group in Nazi Germany.

3. Descendant of the Crane by Joan He (4/9) – I’m very excited to check out Descendant of the Crane, but I am also terrified of the hype. It’s high fantasy with Asian representation, which I’m 100% here for. I’m just terrified it won’t live up to the hype I’ve been seeing. Regardless, this is definitely being added to my TBR once I get a copy.

4. Meet Cute by Helena Hunting (4/9) – Meet Cute just sounds like a fantastic romance. Celebrity love interest and second chance romance? I definitely need to read this. It just sounds like so much fun.

5. Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett (4/16) – Serious Moonlight is one of my MOST ANTICIPATED reads of the year. It’s definitely on my Top 5 must reads. I loved Alex, Approximately. I loved Starry Eyes.  Jenn Bennett just writes the best YA contemporary romances with quirky characters. So I’ll probably love Serious Moonlight. Plus I can’t deny myself a book with a character described as a mystery-book aficionado. I’m absolutely jealous of everyone that has an ARC of this book, but the wait is almost over!

& That my friends are my bookish update for the month. What books are you anticipating this month? Also, are you planning on watching Avengers: Endgame this month? I seriously need to know what happens after that cliffhanger in Infinity War. Let me know what you’re up to this month in the comments! Happy reading, guys!
